Where to Find Us
Thatcham straddles the A4 and is a small, but expanding town in West Berkshire. Older residents can remember Thatcham when it was only a village! However, over the past twenty-five years the population has doubled to well over 20,000, and today it is a town in its own right, with council offices and a mayor. It has a wide range of facilities, including a good variety of shops, health centres, recreation space, as well as both primary and secondary schools. The town can be easily accessed from the M4, via either Theale at junction 12 or Newbury (jct 13), and there is a main-line railway station with trains to Reading, Paddington and the West country. Glendale Church, Thatcham is located in Green Lane, just off the A4. The turning is on the left if you are travelling west (from Reading towards Newbury) and the church is on the right hand side as soon as you turn into Green Lane.
